Join NJWGSC
Encourage your institution to become an Institutional Partner of the NJWGSC by either renewing your past support or joining the 15 public and private, two-year and four-year colleges and universities that support the NJWGSC. Your partnership with the New Jersey Women’s and Gender Studies Consortium shows both the community you serve and the State’s higher education community that your institution values women’s and multicultural educational transformation and is committed to supporting the Consortium’s work both philosophically and fiscally.
Two levels of partnership are available: $1,000 for Sponsors; $500 for Supporters; and $250 for Community College Supporters. Sponsors receive 4 free registrations to the annual student conference in addition to other benefits; Supporters receive 2 free registrations and Community College Supporters receive 1 free registration.
Benefits of institutional membership: provide undergraduate students with subsidized access to the annual conference; allows for outstanding speakers to give public lectures; fund student awards for outstanding scholarship; and sustains our connection to the national Women’s and Gender Studies community via our website. Institutional partners are recognized throughout the year on the NJWGSC website, in press releases, conference materials, and other promotional materials.
We are fully aware that recent budget cuts to higher education in New Jersey have presented fiscal challenges to many of the state’s universities and colleges, and therefore you may be reluctant to continue your support of our efforts. Yet, precisely because of these financial challenges we believe that it is crucial that we all continue to invest in the future of women’s education and the development of progressive programs in Women’s and Gender Studies throughout the state of New Jersey.
